1-Week Turnaround: Custom CNC Machining from Programming to Production

When a client needs custom CNC machining on a tight schedule, the first question is always about lead time. For this batch, we took the order from drawing to finished parts in one week. This is how a typical custom CNC machining project moves through our shop when speed and precision both matter.

1. Programming (Day 1–2)

We started by reviewing the 3D and 2D drawings, confirming tolerances and identifying the critical mating surfaces. From there, the work moved into CAM programming. Each part received its own toolpath strategy, with roughing and finishing allowances balanced against feed rates and spindle speeds. The thin-wall sections and irregular geometry required dedicated fixtures, so we designed those ahead of time to keep clamping stable throughout the cut.

2. Machining (Day 3–6)

Material was cut to size, then milled, drilled, and tapped according to program. Black oxide and coating were arranged to the customer’s specification. During the run, dimensions were checked with calipers, micrometers, and a 2D optical measuring system to keep tolerances within range. Any deviation was caught early, before it turned into a batch problem.

3. Inspection and Delivery (Day 7)

Parts were deburred, cleaned, and fully inspected before anti-scratch packaging. We sent actual sample photos for confirmation, then arranged shipping. The client received tracking the same day.

About Us

We specialize in custom CNC machining, handling everything from rapid programming and prototyping to full production runs. Because we are the factory, not a middleman, communication stays direct and turnaround stays short. Our team works with a range of materials and surface finishes, and we quote based on your drawings, not on guesswork.

If you have non-standard parts that need custom CNC machining, send your drawings over for a quote.
